Does deleting mod from nmm uninstalls it?

Sorry, I'm new and not sure if I just delete mod without clicking uninstall will completely uninstall it from my Skyrim file or not.

Yeah, deleting a mod uninstalls and deletes that mod. Using "deactivate" just uninstalls it, but the listing for that mod is still there, and you can activate it again too if you want to install it again at a later time or something.
