Oestaira
I've seen an overwhelming amount of mods aimed at the male audience, and since males make up the bulk of modders and players, that's understandable...however! Can we get a little mod service for the ladies?? Maybe some dashing male NPCs with alluring little quests. Or amusing NPC suitors...and no, Alistair and Zevran aren't enough for me. I'm a glutton! It would just be nice to have some an extra male NPC or two in some sort of plot driven quest line that mimics the amazing work BioWare did on creating relationships between the player and romancable NPCs. Remember, boys; lady gamers like being catered to. Also; if I don't see more mods with voice acting, I'm going to scream. I understand it's extra work, but it makes a huge impact. It's well worth it, in my opinion. In fact, if anyone needs female voices, I can convincingly pull off a number of accents and have experience. I'm sure there are tons of willing players out there available for voice work. Drahcir3487
If I only knew how to mod I would probably jump right on this. There are alot of really nice mods that could be made perfect if only some voice acting had been thrown in as well! Alas I'm practically incompitant in terms of modding. I mean, it took me a full friggin DAY to figure out to make a face morph into a preset so that it didn't break certain shape-shifting morphs..like Orgolove's http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/fi........(shameless plug. I know. But I love the thing!) Also just to toss it out there, if any mod people are looking for male voice actors; I have a nice tenor voice and I have a minor in acting (theater not voice acting but I can adapt); English is my major. Oestaira
Thanks, Drah. I wish I knew how to mod. I've got so many possibilities rambling about in my head that it's a shame I'm so inept. But hey, at least we can throw ideas at the people who can design them into fruition....a nice tenor voice, you say? ;)
Drahcir3487
Yep. Nice nice. Plus my best friend happens to be a musician; (he also play's DAO) and he has a hardcore mic used for professional sound recording.
Oestaira
Well, aren't we special! I have no such high-techy recording device. But I have software to cancel out a lot of problematic fuzz.Side note; I wonder how much of a pain it is to do lip syncing in DA. I'm seriously getting curious and wanting to frustrate myself to no end on the modding possibilities...The more I think about it...gesticulations, expressions, lip syncing...yea, glad I can't mod. lolOoh, I wonder if it would be possible to mod in a romance line with Sandal. If only for the creepy wtf factor XD"ENCHANTMENT!"
Drahcir3487
lol! I once took a class in flash animation back in highschool. And for my final I made a 10 min long Southpark episode and I pulled off the lip synch...sure DAO is a bit more high-tech than Southpark but considering the skill of the modders on the site I can't imagine it would be that difficult. w00teh
Not really...the only pure custom meshes made as clothing/armor are so far just for females..atleast the ones that are released... Females get quite a bit of love tbh, especially when you look at Oblivion mods nowadays

I don't know which Nexus you've been looking at, but I see tons of mods that are designed to improve upon Zevran and Alistair. They're almost as common as mods for Morrigan and Leliana. Most of the nude mods (Natural Bodies for instance) have male nudity included, with various ... erm, choices. Better Sex Scenes caters to both male and female wardens. Most hair mods cater to female PCs (and not just in Dragon Age). I haven't seen the added content mods as being geared towards males either. Lots of clothing and armor mods are also designed with female PCs in mind (though if it's skimpy wear for males you're looking for then you are indeed SOL) As for an additional NPC, I haven't seen many for us guys either. I've seen a couple of shoddy attempts that couldn't pass an alpha testing, but that's it. EDIT: I also don't particularly care for unprofessional voice acting. Microphone feedback and distortion, low recording quality, muffling, people who hold the mic too close or too far away ... and that's before we get to how much it hurts to hear someone with no experience attempting and failing miserably at it. Oestaira
Yes, most of the appearance mods are for female characters. NOT female players. From what I've seen, most male players play female avatars. Those mods are made primarily with male players in mind. There are so many nude body mods for female characters because...well...men like to look at nude women :P And I'm not posting this about Oblivion.I've also seen a number of mods with nude 'cage dancers' and random new sex partners for males. And head morphs for existing characters are completely useless to me. I really don't get the point. I'll stick to how BioWare designed the characters. As far as voice acting, I never suggested that modders take any ol' bum off the street and shove a mic in their face. In fact, Drah and I volunteered because we HAVE experience. As mods and modders improve I'm sure the bulk of the content will continue to be geared toward the male audience. No need to get your knickers in a twist about the possibility of there being mods for female players before the guys. I'm just trying to throw the suggestion out there. w00teh
Oestaira you ever frequent the social bioware forums? The fact you can Voice act means you'd be a great asset there IMO.. On nexus i've tended to realise that they are geared mostly towards custom armors/weapons, appearance changes and things that are more in line with putting something completely new and not in the original game. This isn't just for Oblivion/Fallout 3, but it seems like that for Dragon Age as well. That being said there obviously is a lot of work put into new questlines and etc. But they tend to be far more time consuming than regular projects. I also noticed that on the social bioware forums, they said that there was issues with putting new voices at times.
