Landsmeet graphical issues

Help!!

 

I've played through the whole game with very few glitches.

 

Now, I'm at the Landsmeet, I fight the fight, deal with Logain and then cinematic slowdowns before a lockup/crash!!!

 

During the cinematics movement slows down, words don't match, then pretty soon no movement or words at all.

 

I'm on an Intel Quad Core 2.8, GTX 260, Win XP, 4 Gigs RAM. No problems really til now.

 

I've tried different saves, uninstalled, reinstalled, tryed a different PC with the same specs and got the same thing.

 

Tried updated drivers, old drivers, turning the graphics down, turning the sound off...

 

NADA.

how much of your ram is actually being used tho? having 4 gigs of ram is nice, but if your system is alreadying using 60+ % of it in other apps, then it's not gonna do you any good.

hit ctrl + alt + del while you are playing, choose start task manager, then click on the tab that says performance. that will tell you how much of ur cpu usage and ram usage is going on.

 

maybe try resetting the size of ur pagefile. pagefile uses a section of your harddrive to act as random access memory...basically VERY similar to RAM. Your pagefile should be set to Minimum space- amount of ram times 1.5 or better yet, times 2. Maximum should be the SAME amount. so in your case.... 4 gigs or ram is

1024x2=4096 4096x2=8192 so your min and max setting would be 8192 megabytes of pagefile space. do a google search for set pagefile and that will give you instructions and tips.

 

how much video ram does your card have? is it onboard or shared? (probly not shared, but never hurts to ask).

 

have you tried running a defrag on the drive(s) that your game and documents folder are located on?

Have you got any mods installed? This is no hardware issue.

Your graficcard, cpu and ram are ok.
