Help solving glitches.

Hoping to get a little help with some glitches I've been running into. None of it was a problem about a year ago when I last played Skyrim regularly, but a few days ago I decided to start playing again. I updated old mods and installed some new ones, and now I"m running into a few issues. Nothing too major so far but I want to try and figure it out before anything major DOES come up.

 

At first, I just had a couple quests start up before they were supposed to. One was a mod quest to find the Dragon Priest masks. It's not supposed to trigger until I kill a dragon priest, and I haven't encountered one yet my current playthrough. The other was a misc. quest to examine some Dwemer ruins. Neither was a big deal, so I ignored it. Then, I walked up to Gralnach at Heartwood Mill and talked to him, and he was sad and said that his parents both died recently. Thing is, his mother Grosta is still very much alive and well. I was able to start the quest to find her husband AFTER the boy said she was dead. Again I decided it wasn't a big deal and kept playing.

 

Just now, though, I went to Solitude for the first time this run through. There were no guards outside to tell me about Roggvir. I tried reloading, still no guards. I went inside with my followers *I use a multiple followers mod and have three people and a pet with me currently* and waited around through the Execution. Just as they were about to behead Roggvir, people started fighting. I thought for a moment that there was a Vampire raid, but then I noticed my followers were attacking the headsman and Captain Aldis, I think it is.

 

Can anybody tell me what could be causing these problems? I'm assuming that one of the mods I updated or installed recently must be causing it, since I'm pretty sure there hasn't been any other official updates in some time. I can't think what it might be, though, as most of my new mods simply added new items. Updating the unofficial patches, Inconsequential NPCs, and Interesting NPCs are the only ones that should really be effecting people much.

Just want to add another glitch I came across. I went back to Windhelm after "completing" Blood on the Ice by accusing the Court Mage. Arivanya, the woman who usually is the Butcher's next victim when I do the quest that way, is wandering town naked, slashed up and with a huge hole in her chest. If the Butcher has struck again, she's supposed to be clothed, lying dead against a wall.

I'm having the same problem with the kid thinking his mother is dead when she isn't. Did anyone figure this out.
