Snickerdoo
Ok i need a bit of help here. I've only recently started to use mods from the forum so i wonder if im doing anything wrong here, so if i am give me a yell. So what is happening is whenever i try to open and run fallout with a mod "enabled" it comes up with the "Fallout 3 has encountered a critical error and needs to close" message, even though in the background i can still see the screen showing the bethesda title, though it never gets to the main menu. i am using FOMM and i have alse used archive invalitdation mod, and fallout will work fine without the mod enabled. Any ideas? (Note i am using the Mart's Mutant Mod, but i also had the same problem with the underground hideout mod which is now uninstalled)
Burnagirl
is this happening with all the Mods you're trying to use or only the two you mentioned ? update - FOMM & Archive Invalidation you say you have already loaded so it cant be ALL the Mods giving you the problem ....If you're following the correct procedure for installing Mods, then I'm at a loss to help you .... Smosh
It might be the load order of the mods. Can you give us a load order report from FOMM?
Snickerdoo
My load order is currently - Fallout3.esmMart'sMutantMod.esmThen followed by all the esp content in the order shown by the tutorial. -note, These are the only two mods i have tried so far, besides the small text based mods. Burnagirl
I'm assuming you have a desktop folder with all the Mods you download in it.I'm also assuming that you have FOMM, Archive Invalidation installed and lastly, FOSE is patched with Fallout 3 patch 1.7. Again I'm assuming (lot of that here, LOL), that you extract your Mod\s mesh files to the mesh folder in C:\program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Data\mesh. and you do the same with the Texture and sound files ..... obviously clicking ok to overwrite when asked. And lastly you check the .esp box in the FOMM ... If you do this or even open and activate the Mod using FOMM, you should have no hassles. lastly, try using the "auto sort" on the FOMM .... could this perhaps help ?
