rompzor
Hey all: I'm new to oblivion and modding, but after a long night I figured most of it out and am working fairly well with OBMM. 1. I had some problems with missing body parts. I thought this was due to Improved Facial Textures (IFT) not being properly installed. For some reason I thought it was a good idea to overwrite the existing character textures from the IFT zip into my Oblivion directory. Now most of the faces lack almost any feature. Hooray. Can anyone tell me where to find or how to get the vanilla files back into my Oblivion directory, and I can hopefully troubleshoot the missing body parts issue on my own via OBMM. 2. I had trouble with Illumination Within Revived Optimized, and realized that I didn't have the original file. That's the last time I decide not to view a ReadMe first. I installed the Illumination Revived Optimized 0.9.2 OMOD version and did the whole -create -add archive thing. As expected, the mod shows up on the right-side omod list with no apaprent conflicts. When I activate it, however, it doesn't show up on the left-side .esp list. This has happened with several of my mods, but I abandoned them because I wasn't sure they were OMOD ready - but this one says it is. I chaulk it up to me being a newb. What am I doing wrong? Thanks everyone <
rompzor
I fixed the Illumination issue on my own. "Omod version" meant that I didn't need to add archive or folder, but simply double click the file on my desktop to load it into OBMM automatically. This may be obvious to some but I'm quite bad at computers. I hope this helps someone at some point. The emperor's guard who dies at the beginning of the story is still a floating head, and some environmental effects are showing up as opaque yellow blocks on my screen. I haven't figured out which mods/combinations of mods are causing this issue yet. With my new knowledge of how this whole things works I think I'm just going to reinstall and start from scratch. I'm not confident I haven't messed other things up along the way and I can't seem to work out the kinks in what I have so far. Thanks again folks. Sergio1992
1- You should start using wrye bash - search for "pictorial guide wrye bash" on google.2- Illumination within is old. You should get this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/19628/?
