hey im new to modding and i was wondering how to add downloaded mods to oblivion ive looked up tutorials but they didnt work so i was wondering if someone could help expain. p.s wth is a .esp?

There are also Stickies in the Mod section of this forum which can also help. Stickies are topics that are always at the top of the page where people can easily find them so you should read through those as well.

 

Don't be afraid to ask for help, that's what the forum is for, but do try to read as much as you can and try things yourself. Be specific if you have a question and give as many details about any problems as possible. It helps people to help you. :smile:

 

The biggest thing to avoid at first when starting to use mods is NOT to add a lot at once and expect them all to work. Start slow and work up, testing each one in game before adding more. This is where many people make their biggest mistake.

 

An esp file is is an Oblivion Data Plugin File. It contains the information needed for the mod to work, so the game knows to use the new data. It references the Oblivion esm which is a Master file and won't work without it.

nevermind i found out how but :thanks: anyway also if your on this forum looking for the same thing i was check out the apachi godess store description (not sure wat version though)
