1. When you say it doesn't work, do you mean in the Character Creator, or are the assets not working at all? (i.e, on NPCs or pre-made morphs)

2. Are you installing the mods manually or using the Nexus Mod Manager?

3. If the issue is with the Character Creator, did you edit your chargenmorphcfg.xml to recognize both of the mods, and if so, how? Manually? With the Chargenmorph Compiler? Or are you using the pre-edited chargenmorphcfg.xml /compatibility patch by the author of More Hairstyles?

#3. There's your problem. The CC only uses assets from mods if the chargenmorph is edited to recognize them. If you want to use more than one cosmetic mod in the CC, you need to somehow add the needed references for both mods. (It sounds like your install is picking up on the XML from the last mod installed.)

I'd also make sure that I didn't have more than one chargenmorphcfg.xml in my override, since one is all that is allowed.

Ummm... Click the link to the CharGenMorph Compiler above, read the author's instructions, download the utility, follow the instructions, run the utility, :geek:

The key here is that game uses the file "chargenmorphcfg.xml" (Character Generator Morph Configuration) to keep track of which resources (textures, meshes, colours, etc.) the CC sliders are pointing to at each position. The game can only use a single "chargenmorphcfg.xml" file at a time. So that one file has to contain ALL the pointers to ALL the resources you want to use.

Each CC mod contains (at least) two parts: the resources themselves, and a cgmc.xml file for mapping them. The "Compiler" is designed to automate the task of editing the "real" cgmc.xml, integrating the pieces supplied by each mod.

Unless you either a) edit the cgmc.xml by-hand, or b) use a utility like the Compiler, then each time you add another CC mod its individual cgmc.xml will overwrite the previous one, leaning you with only the most recent mod's resources available in the CC.
