DGM87
I downloaded the American Military Combat Uniforms mod that changed what looks like the Vault Security Uniform into camo'd BDUs...I want to take one of those and re-texture it with a new pattern, probably starting with MultiCam, but I don't know yet. I have tried every other uniform mod out there and can't quite get what I want. The Combat Armor mods are great, but don't have sleeves, and for some reason that bugs me. I want to essentially take this mod and change it, which the author gives permission for in the readme. I have Photoshop CS3 Master Collection, Paint.NET, and somewhere I have GIMP. Surely there is a program that lets me layer one texture (essentially a swatch of a camo pattern) over what is already there, but then would I lose 3d details? Photoshop would be the best program for what you're doing.

Okay, so then how to I do it......I need to take a camo swatch texture pattern and essentially replace the "fully body texture" of the armor...I know only the basics of photoshop.... :thanks:
TheChan
Load up your texture in photoshop. Find the camo texture that you want to put over it. Paste it over your texture. Mess with the blending modes and the opacity until you get something you like. (the drop down that says 'normal' is the blending modes) Use the eraser tool to erase parts you don't want textured.
