Suilebhain
I have a situation at Tenpenny Towers where certain residents are duplicated - Anthony Ling, Karen Green, and so forth. Anyone experience this, and if so, how did you fix it? Thanks.
SATMA
At least you don't have this problem: First, try loading with your mods disabled. If you lose the clones, then it's obviously a mod; if you still have the clones, then it's a problem with your save or the game itself, though still possibly a mod. In general, I'd be suspicious of any mod which has modified or expanded Tenpenny Tower's interior cells; not like a Suite mod or something, but the rest of the tower. That said, any mod which someone uploads, if they haven't trimmed the junk data in FO3Edit, could possibly be the culprit. I'd try loading up your load order in FO3Edit. Expand the branch for Fallout3.esm, and dig around in the characters section, looking for Tenpenny residents. See if any of them have been highlighted, and check out the mods which do so. If none of them are doing that, it might be that something has put in different spawn points in Tenpenny's interior cells or something. Those are a bit harder to find, but the rules are the same; if they're highlighted in FO3Edit under Fallout3.esm's branch, the mods that are overriding it are the likeliest culprits. If all that still tells you nothing, it could be just a random glitch. There is a way to solve this in-game, though... if you haven't done the Tenpenny Tower quest yet, unleash the ferals for twice the carnage. Be sure to take a video and upload it to YouTube!
Suilebhain
I tried disabling the Princess' Tenpenny Tower Suite Expansion and Ghouls Cohabitate mods and neither cleared up the problem. The only thing else that I have that has anything to do with Tenpenny are the Ling mods, but I took my load order from other load lists and see nowhere that they should be duping characters. I also have Archive Invalidation in use through FOMM. It isn't everyone in the Tower, because I only saw one Susan Lancaster and one of the security chief, but his guard at the door, for example, has a twin, and so do many of the people who say, "I am so grateful to Mr. Tenpenny for letting me come here" blah blah blah. SATMA
Could you possibly attach a save here? If I load it up and the duplicates are still there, we'd at least know that it's a glitch in your save. This is pretty tricky, though. I mean, if Susan was cloned and Gustav (the guard's name?) wasn't, that would pretty solidly indicate that it's an issue with the Tenpenny Lobby cell, because we know we first encounter Gustav outside and he then moves inside. Although, if Susan spawns in another interior cell and then moves into the lobby, my theory might be right. Either way, I would bet the issue is with that particular cell, especially when I remember how GECK handles conflicts where two resources have the same name - namely, appending DUPLICATE000 onto the end of its ID.
