Pushkatu
Debate! IMPORTANT:First of all, this topic does not, by any means have something to do with moderator decisions nor has it been made to flame those who have been banned. If you think you have something useful to add here or just share your thoughts please do so, but don't stop by just to flame and make fun of a banned member that you had an argue with once. I've noticed that in 2009 there have been more people banned than in all the other years combined. Of course the number of people that joined was big to compared with other years, but having so many pages filled with banned people in just one year made me think about it and still does. What do you guys think about this? Thanks,Pushkatu! PS: Please stay on topic or else you will be reported. I don't want this to get locked just becouse some have nothing better to do than talk nonsense. We can be civilized! ;) :thanks:

If you think you have something useful to add here or just share your thoughts please do so, but don't stop by just to flame and make fun of a banned member that you had an argue with once. Even still, it is not something which is really open to debate. People were banned, it even mentions why people are banned. The only difference between TESN and other sites is that other sites don't keep a record of who was banned or why. In 2009 flaming in upload threads became more strictly policed as more and more people insisted on being hostile toward uploaders, leading to subsequent changes in how files are voted on. Every ban is explained, so you can draw your own conclusions. More members (we had roughly 850000 this time last year, the site has nearly doubled in 1 year) just means that a greater number of them will end up breaking or ignoring the rules. buddah
There was also a decision made where to the extent possible the actions of the staff would be open and transparent to the community. While other sites/forums choose to conduct their business behind the scenes and leave things open to speculation/innuendo/uncertainty here we take the approach that we are part of the community and not separate from it. If we make a mistake it is there for all to see....we all learn from our mistakes (or we should) but this way, your future actions may be impacted by seeing the consequences of others.
