Hi all, :) I plan on replacing Hermaeus Mora's voice with my own because it's hard to understand him unless you have subtitles on, how do i do it? Does it exist a tutorial somewhere? :o Thanks.

Simply use the BSA unpacker, unpack the voice bsa of TESIV and record your own voice for each of the file required,

to look at those file go in you data/sound/voice/ and look/listen all those file related to hermeus mora, and give your file the same name, and put them in that sam edirectory...

If you do everything right, it will ask you to overwrite those file...clic yes !

this is a quick explanation... hope you figured out the rest on your own with logic !

PS better back up the file you want to change before doing anuthing !

Good luck! You have opened a can of worms. What you want to do is very hard and few people have the time, skill, and enthusiasm to do it. Ever since Shivering Isles came out, the CS has been broken and Bethesda doesn't care enough to fix it. So you cannot use the latest version of the CS to create voice files. This is why you will notice that there are so few mods with new voiced dialog.

So people use an elaborate workaround with the old CS + the new CS + audio recording and editing software.

What you are doing sounds like a really worthy project though.

Ohh, so that's the reason not many mods have their own voiceacting. Thanks for enlightening me, And why won't they update the broken CS? It can't be that hard? :(

Well, the 'Generate .LIP file' button is broken, I believe everything else works in the same way.

As you are creating this for Hermaeus Mora, which the voice

comes from his statue, therefore you do not need to generate

lip synch files. So I'm not entirely sure how difficult this would be.

Here's a link to the dialogue tutorial on the CS wiki: Link

It discusses the method of creating new dialogue.

This also links a video tutorial that may be helpful as well: Link

I've gotten pretty good with custom dialogue (through my various WIPs), so

if you have trouble feel free to PM me, but as you don't have to create .LIP files,

I would think you shouldn't have too many problems.
