jenrick
Hey all! I really like the overall look of the chantry robes that Lelianna is wearing when she joins your party and I snagged them to throw on my mage since mage robes are so... very.. not pretty. I was hoping someone could do a simple recolor to black/white robes with some blue trim. If it exists somewhere and someone could find it, I'd appreciate it, been searching for almost an hour but haven't found any type of Chantry Robe reskin or recolor. Thanks! - by the way, if someone can do this in return I'll do a digital painting of their character (or any other subject they request). DarkeWolf
well, I myself royally suck at tryin to paint skins. however, there's a couple of methods that you could use yourself, if you are willing to give it a try.if you want to use the tried and true method of altering the skins in a photo editor, you can use a program called DA Tool to extract the skins from the game.http://social.bioware.com/project/41/#files its a very easy to use program. there is also a turorial on how to use the toolset to create custom colored items. http://social.bioware.com/wiki/datoolset/i..._existing_itemshttp://social.bioware.com/wiki/datoolset/i...kinning_an_Item another tute that I havent looked over very much, came across it just just now, while I was trying to find the tute on how to add the items to the game. http://social.bioware.com/wiki/datoolset/i..._custom_modules the tutorial on how to add them to the game. I know that around here, a lot of mod requests dont get fullfilled. If you want to give it a go at it yourself, those could get you started in the right direction.good luck :) edit- just clicked the link, that is some AWESOME work on that digital painting! Some very very nice talent you have there!
jenrick
Thank you for the link, DarkeWolf! I've never done anything like this before but I may end up giving it a go myself. I was just hoping someone may be interested in a trade to get it done properly haha. Thanks again I'll try it out if no one offers within a few days. :)~ and thank you for the lovely comment, I appreciate it.
DarkeWolf
no problem. if I knew what I was doing, I would be more than glad to offer to help you out. Unfortunately, I don't :( The whole business of how textures wrap around the model makes the textures extremely confusing to me.That and I've never tried to pack up a mod, nor tried to add stats to an item, and all the other stuff, not with this particular game. You're very welcome! I'm a pencil artist myself, so I know that really good talent should be appreciated. And as an artist, that appreciation is nice to hear ;) I'm trying to remember which particular robes it is that leliana is wearing when you meet her. if you would want to post a screenshot, I could use Da tool to find and unpack them for you.
