Fallout 3 has stopped working

And that seems to happen no matter what kind of mods I have running.

Its just at random places, doesn't really seem to have a cause.

I have tried 1.5 1.6 and official 1.7. All seem to do the same thing, only thing I do is install a mod as its written in the info file.

I have FOMM and archiveinvalidation. I even made the archiveinvalidation.txt file myself.

What else can I do?

Anyone know anything about this?

Interesting indeed.

Btw if you toggled the invalidation from FOMM remove the archiveinvalidation text file immediately!

Check if that was causing the crashes.

Have you tried installing F3, applying the official 1.7 patch and checking if it still crashes at random? Without any mods. And are you using a regular F3 on it's own or with DLCs - OR - the GOTY edition?

If it doesn't crash then it's probably mod related. Can you list what mods you have tried/are using atm. ?

Are you sure it's not your system overheating?

Well, when I do a clean install of FO3 without anything at all, it runs smoothly.

And Im just using a regular FO3.

The first one I noticed it with was DIMONIZED TYPE3 female body WIP, which of course also was the first MOD I tried.

And I dont think its my system overheating. :-|

But I am seriously concidering going back to XP, haven't had this many probs since I got Vista. :-P

If it's DIMONIZED that started the crashes then either stop using it or read the installation instructions VERY thoroughly and make sure you install the mod correctly including all the requirements for it. Also there's links on the download page description tab concerning the discussion of DIMONIZED. Might want to check there if anyone else has similiar problems.

Sorry but that's about as much as I can advice on that (I don't use DIMO).

Ps. If you're sick of Vista - go Windows 7 instead. Better than XP and much better than Vista.
