Sacremas
I have a problem with my heavily modified game now, it seems that scripts are moving way too slowly, at first it was delayed by a few minutes, now if I say try to drink someone's blood with Vampiric Thirst, kill them, then harvest their bones with SkyRe, then use Bat Travel to travel to another place, none of these things happen, I save, I exit, I start over again, and then all four things happen at once. I wonder if there's any way to figure out what's delaying these scripts, and if there's any way to free it up? I'm not lagging terribly and my save files are about 25 megabytes so far, so it's not bloat yet.
notmyhome
25 mb IS bloat, period.Unless you're running a lot of other programs at the same time, there's not much you can do to reduce script lag but weed out scripted mods.
Sacremas
I've checked my save files and I have that file size three characters and one full install ago, so I don't think that's bloat-worthy. I don't see significant load times or anything but that huge delay on scripts firing.
Ditto291
All I can recommend is to ease up on the script related mods, and clean your save of any dead scripts it may have using a script cleaner. (At your own risk of course, and back your saves up) Script delay usually means you have too many scripts running. I would like to ask though, when you first start Skyrim through SKSE, do you have to let the game sit on it's menu screen for a little bit before it will allow you to load into your saved games? (As in if you try to speed through the menu screen first thing, the loading screen will freeze)
notmyhome
Really, a normal save game #1 has five mb in size. I've played throug main quests without exceeding 10 (albeit without many mods).Anything above 20 for a save with less than 500 hours of playtime I'd consider bloated. But if it doesn't give you issues, you may as well ignore it. Just remember, what causes the script lag *could* also cause the bloat.
