jaw709 Posted February 3, 2010 Share Posted February 3, 2010 spent hours getting FCOM to load, all latest patches, multiple reinstalls, until I realized I didn't download or rename the mmm bsa.. problem solved.. life's great.. then crash upon exiting sewers.. reviewed many fantastic posts suggesting lowering graphics, so I tried it once.. and it worked.. once.. tried reloading with same graphs, crash! so I think it was a glitched-glitch.. will post load order ANY help GREATLY appreciated-- would love to finally play this game. Oblivion states it requires a minimum of 1 gig if memory serves, but recommended is two, I would say three at least because your computer is always using a little in the background, and if you have more than the 2gs that means it will be able to actually use the full 2gig for Oblivion (it'll never use more than that - simply doesn't utilise it) RAM at the moment is cheap as chips anyways. Rebuild your bashed patch and remove the "import cells" option if you used it. It doesn't cause many issues, and is actually one of the handiest features of the patch, but I had a similiar issues trying to leave a cave once and that stopped it.Also, if you have any custom races left over from previous installs, don't use them. Whilst some of the references may still be there, most won't. Best way to check this is to switch out to a vanilla race if you are using a custom one and see if you can exit. Final desperate solution would be one of the alternate start mods, which I believe are all FCOM compatible, though this might just hide the issue for it to rear its ugly head again later. Let me know if any of this (or anything else) helps. I'd be interested to try to figure out just whats causing it, even if I can't figure out a quick fix. Jenrai Hey man, sorry for my late reply.. yea, i finally got a stable build going, only crashes when I use ren's guard overhaul.. specfically and exclusively haha started using no psychic guards, evrn though it's inferior and reneable RGO only in dire situations (ie. needing to collect all the differnt cities guards' armor for my assassin's collection..) lol thanks for the help man, and as for the ram, until I get more ram i'll just lean on my massive, probably superfluous page file Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
