matsuda_sempai
I was wanting to know if any one knows of a mod that makes the arcane university have more of a university feel like have tests on certain subjects like Alchemy or where you can go on expedtions to ruins or self study to gain skill in any of the magic skills? and If there is not a mod like that would anyone be willing to make one? David Brasher
I wish the Mage Guild was more like it was in Morrowind. There must have been two or three times as many Mage guild quests available as there are in Oblivion. Many of them were quite small, low-key, and non-violent. I think Morrowind would be a great example to follow if someone made a mod like this.

alonsomartinez
What do you mean study ? Like read books ?  I can make some quests and such for the Mages guild about 7 small quests all together for the Mages Guild. They wont all be hack and Slash but they could be interesting. As for some great mage mods I recommend looking at Slawters list of mods. They have some prety good mods that help mages. You should try Crystal Ball Scrying and Mad Mages Tower. Both Excellent mods. If you could help me I would be grateful.
David Brasher
I just searched the TES Nexus mod library using keywords "Mage Guild" and it was depressing. It looks like 12 people came up with teleportation portal mods, but nobody has much in the way of quests, adventures, school classes, and other things for wizards to do. I am downloading Marakaren Mages Guild BETA right now to see what it is like. Have you played Midas Spells of Aurum? It is sort of the opposite of what you asked for, being about someone who got thrown out of the Arcane University. There is lots of questing to try to gain new magical power. A whole bunch of people were making H---- P---- mods, but the author of that popular book series is taking legal action against the modders, and I don't know if any of the mods are available for download. Those mods would involve school classes.
alonsomartinez
i could make some queests but I dont have a clue on how to make a test. Only test (sort of ) would be something like " Oh kill this clanfear in 30 seconds and you will get a skill point "
ataris2145
I think not dying from fighting a Clannfear on FCOM should count for a skillpoint. :P
alonsomartinez
Ok how about this A teacher locks you in a room for an in game 3 minutes .You start off as a regular clanfear but each time you kill it its attributes are increased by 10 every time until the time is over. How about that. And everytime you enter you get stripped of all your belongings and can only use magic. matsuda_sempai
Yes I have midas spells it's so cool well I think the quests would be cool if you could do it but the quest would have to reflect the questgivers personality like for the redguard in cheydinhal and how has prejudices about conjuration and Illusion. and with the tests in the arcane university they could done with dialogue like the mod RolePlaying Oblivion : New Beginnings how the "Mind" askes you questions the you answer with one if the choices, Well what I was thinking was like this "What the effect can a novice of Alchemy use if he/she uses Venison?" 1. restore health 2. feather 3. water walking 4. Shield. And if you get all the answers right depending on how hard the test is you could get 1 point to alchemy or for hard tests you could get up to 5 points if you get them all right what do you think?
