RitualBlack Posted February 4, 2010 Author Share Posted February 4, 2010 ya, i was going to have the sheathed blade for when it is "put away" and the long blade for drawn, this way, it gives the illusion of a retracting blade (i will still need help to do this :) ) and when I say partical emmiter, i mean like a few drops that will sort of trickle, made in blender. I would like to give the emmiter a try. It would be sort of like Deadly Reflex's emmiter, because when I had gone through Elder Scrolls CS, and looked at how skycaptain did it (not using or stealing his mod in my own) he had a shader effect, which emmited the particles instead of the glow or shader enchantment thing (or whatever it is). This was a really creative way of making blood spray. I wan't to do something similar, only instead of the script being from a decapatation or other combat move, it would be "on strike" or something like that, which activates the emmiter. L33Nexus Posted February 4, 2010 Share Posted February 4, 2010 OK, I've been working this out. Ok a script that does this... There are two types of the model. one that has the blade tucked in, and one that plays an animation that makes the blade slide forward revealing it. Ok so a script that when your in the idle animation (standing or running without having the weapon sheathed) then the model stays as the one with the tucked in blade... but if you wield the weapon the model plays the animation and the blades become revealed and you can run around with it while the blades are shown. Problems:It might have to Unequip the idle model and equip the animated one which might be a little annoying with the message all the time... unless theres a way to stop it saying so and so was unequipped then so and so was equipped on the player :thumbsup: get what i mean :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I can't wait untill I finish it (i really wan't to see all the great stuff you are able to do with my model :biggrin: ) and for the text popping up or switching to the animated model...
