I searched google many people have the same problem but there is not a single fix or solution for that.I have fortify smithing gear on total 76% (4x19%) But it just do not work. There is no difference if I have the gear equipped or not the weapons and armors do not get more stats with my enchanted smithing 76% bonus.I tried reequipping my armor reloading saves restart and even reinstalling the game. There is no help.But my Alchemy enchanted 77% gear works, makes my potion much better.Also when I use potions fortify smithing they do work and make my weapons and armours better, but the enchanted gear does not work.Please help :( I have no mods installed and I got clean install without patches and addons.
phamkl Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Bump - having the same issue. No mods, just latest version of Skyrim and DLCs. For me, items that fortify by a specific number ("Increases Light Armor skill by 15 points" works, "Increases Smithing skill by 15%" does NOT work) thus only fortify light armor, heavy armor, vital stats, and carry weight, can be buffed, but nothing else works (maybe Alchemy, per the OP, but that's one skill I didn't try). I had uninstalled Skyrim and cleaned out the Skyrim folders in both the Steam folder as well as the Documents folder, so I don't think there are any residual scripts or anything. All the enchant buffs show up in "Active Effects" but don't appear in the skills on the perks/leveling panel. Just to be certain, I used "getav.[skill]" to check, and the actor values ended up matching what was shown in the skills rather than the active effects. In a word, it's like my Skyrim doesn't know how to multiply, only add. Anyone know what's going on?
