Direct2Drive data folder missing.

Hello, this is my first post in the nexusforums, so please bear with me.

I seem to be having trouble downloading mods for my Fallout 3, that I bought from Direct2Drive. Apparently, when I downloaded the game, it did not come with a data folder. Many of the instructions on mods say to put the mod in the data folder, even though I do not have one. I try making a new folder named "data" in my Fallout 3 directory and put the mod in there, but it doesn't work.

I was hoping someone would be able to give me some suggestions on how to enhance my Fallout 3 experience.

You're correct about creating data folder in the directory. After dragging and dropping mods into data folder, you need to activate them when you start the game. Without Fallout Mod Manager, just double click Fallout 3 icon, you'll see Data Files, click it then select the mods. With FOMM, tick the mods.
