nukeo12
I can open mods and stuff on it, but it wont let me save. I get what it means when it says I cant save. My javaw is in a different folder, computer>OS (C:)>Program Files (x86)>Java>Jre6>bin>javaw. I know how to change target location in the properties for the shortcut, but what do I change it to? PLEASE HELP!
Quetzlsacatanango
Is the shortcut provided pointing to that path? Also, what OS? If it's Vista (or Win7 I guess) make sure you have the UAC bullcrap turned off.
nukeo12
Yes is a vista, but I have had no other problems with mods so what do you mean turn off UAC? And no it doesnt point to that it point to system 32. I just want to know what to put in the path directory. Do you just make it computer>OS (C:)>Program Files (x86)>Java>Jre6>bin>javaw.exe-FO3plugin utility.exe?
Quetzlsacatanango
The utility comes with a shortcut. Right click -> properties -> shortcut tab. Replace the path that's there ("%windir%\system32\javaw.exe -Xmx1024m -jar FO3Plugin.jar") with yours, C:\Program Files (x86)\java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe -Xmx1024m -jar FO3Plugin.jar. Make sure FO3Plugin.jar is in the same directory as the shortcut as well.

nukeo12
:wallbash: Now it is saying tht the -Xmx1024m-jar FO3plugin.jar is an invalid location. Do you have to put the FO3plugin jar in the javaw file or something? EDIT: Okay this is starting to get confusing. I read the installation and I'm confused on what this means "to run utility, create shortcut and specify javaw.exe-Xmx1024m-jar FO3plugin.jar as program to run." Does it mean for the first box put javaw.exe-Xmx1024m-jar FO3plugin.jar?
Quetzlsacatanango
If what you typed is exactly how you have it in the target field, it's because you don't have spaces in the right places. Copy and paste exactly as I have above.
nukeo12
Okay ill try that but what do you mean "Make sure FO3Plugin.jar is in the same directory as the shortcut as well"? Do I have to put the shortcut in the data folder too? Because that is where I have the FO3 plugin.jar.
Quetzlsacatanango
Wherever you put FO3plugin.jar is where you should put the shortcut, yes. Otherwise you will have to specify the full path to it in the target field.
