where do mods go

I'm trying to download the lock bash mod but I can't seem to figure out where to download it to. anyone know where it goes to make it work?

i am new here too but after dl the files go to bin_ship (in DA folder) find "daupdater" n instal the dwloaded mod (rest of de info its in the description anyway (lock bash) :biggrin:

you can dl the mods to anywhere you like. I keep all of mine in a folder on a separate hard drive.

you do however, have to then install them. I use a third party app called damodder to install most of my mods.

with this, if the mods are packed as .zip or .dazip all you have to do is start up the program and then drag and drop the .zip/.dazip folder into the program. Or you can go through File menu, if you prefer doing it that way.

 

IF the mod is packed in another type of compression such as .rar .7zip, or whatever, you can unpack it, then recompress it as .zip. You'll need a compression program that can do that tho, if you don't have one already. I prefer peazip, but 7zip can handle all the formats too.

@DarkWolfe: Since reading the "Your Override Folder" thread here, I've been looking to try a few of the mods listed, but I'm having trouble DLing them from the DANexus site. Do you have to register with them to be able to do that, or is there something up with the server?
