Streammusic combat override- any way of disabling?

Hey all, I am (or was) known as Pbean, the author of the little-known M-Pod mod, which was regrettably never uploaded here.

The issue i'm having is this: my mod will stream the music of the player's choice, and works fantastically, until you enter combat. Annoyingly, the music stops streaming and the combat music kicks in.

Is there any way of stopping this happening while the music is playing? i would imagine not.

I'm trying to find a work-around without using a script extender; i will if i have to but i'd prefer not to over-complicate things for people who want the mod without downloading any additional files.
