narmin
I just started using mods for oblivion and I am having a hell of a time trying to get them to work. My Reneers Guard Overhaul mod is removing all of the dialogue from quest NPCs and is only giving them the option of "Rumors" for talking. Also, any mod that I have that requires me to buy something at "Jensine's "Good As New" Merchandise" just isn't there. I cannot buy the disguises for the guard overhaul mod or any armor mods I download. I am also having a problem where oblivion will crash anytime I try and load back to a quick save. I can load into a quick save from the main menu, but not from in game. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. bben46
Be sure you have the latest patchGet and use OBMM, OBSE and BOSS. These are not mods and do not install like mods, so read the directions for each one first.OBMM will help you manage your mods and manually change load order, Many mods require OBSE. and BOSS will help with load order - very important and probably the source of your problem. How to post a Load order list article http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=295 I also recommend using the unofficial Oblivion Patch (actually a mod and not a true patch) It fixes a lot of little bugs
narmin
Thanks! That fixed everything but the guard overhaul mod. I still cant talk to quest NPCs and now non-guard enemies do not move once they engage in combat... The just stand there, even if they are mele NPCs D:
Jenrai
Yeah, this is a suspected glitch with the afforementioned guard overhaul. Particularly the newer version. If getting rid of it helps, the older versions (1.something as opposed to 2.something I think) are a bit more stable, and do mostly the same things with a few less bells and whistles on em.
