KSSSWM
Is there a mod for the Skyrim camera that changes it into a 360 degree fish-eyed view instead of the standard rectangular view? The reason I'm asking is because I work in a planetarium and my coworkers and I would love to be able to put a game such as Skyrim up on the dome. For those of you that don't know what a planetarium is, http://en.wikipendia.org/wiki/Planetarium, gives an example. Our goal is to be able to put Skyrim (first or third person) up onto the dome so that the apex (top) of the dome is the sky, in front of you is your standard reticle (your regular POV on any monitor), and all around (360 degrees) is your surrounding environment. An example of what we're trying to achieve is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKmm-At1CZQ, with the large circular area in the middle being the portion visible on the dome itself, and the black areas not showing. The seats are facing forward, so the center of the circular video is actually the very top of the dome (so if you looked straight up, you'd be sing the middle of the circle). This is the type of camera we would need to be implemented within Skryim to replace the current. Imagine putting a big bowl on top of your player's head, with a camera under that bowl. That's essentially what we're going for. I've checked the Nexus, Steam Workshop, and Google in general and have found nothing that comes close to what we're looking to achieve. I think the effect would be awesome for any number of reasons, but don't have the knowledge for how to go about and achieve it. Any help/advice would be appreciated. - Kevin
ColonelMitche1
I honestly have no idea. They have ways of using skyrim with the Oculus RIft though and maybe that procedure might help you?
