hawksi36
I just finished reinstalling the game, and adjusted my settings to "low". Now when I open the game it freezes before I can get to the main menu screen. I have the obmm, and even reduced the number of mods that open with the game. My laptop is less than a year old, and until yesterday was playing fine. Any suggestions?

If it gets to the menu, you know it's a mod. Or load order. From there it's just the timely process of figuring out which one's the culprit. Also, if you have a mod running that needs a master file that you shut off... that'll do it too. BTdubz... this probably belongs under Technical Support. Balakirev
It might help, too, if you list all your mods in loading order.
bben46
As you just reinstalled, did you remember to install the latest patch? and reinstall OBSE? If you uninstalled without using the uninstall on the disk, it may not have removed all of the old registry entries from your old game. Did you start the game before installing any mods (to allow the Oblivion.ini to initialize) Try thisHere is my revert to vanilla article - how to go back to the original state without reinstalling.http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=340 If that doesn't work: Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=
