Making Oblivion scary

How do I make the game scarier? I know it may sound strange but I'm in the mood for unimaginable horrors while playing oblivion. But nothing is really scary at all. Occasional surprise-attack but that isn't scary, just surprising. I know there are a few dungeon/quest mods, but how do i make it scarier?

Well the simplest way is to get rid of ambient lighting in dungeons: Let There Be Darkness

 

Darker is always scarier. You might try changing up the music a little: Generic Dungeon Drones

 

And the one I keep hearing about, in terms of scary mods is: The Oubliette

You could try Gates to Aasgard. (spelling is off) Not quite a general scare-raiser, but it is a pretty decent quest/dungeon that does the scare tactics well.

contains the track "Burn Them Down" which, when used in conjunction with Better Music System, is perfect for the Oblivion Realms. No more standard dungeon music in the namesake of the game!
