RideTheCatfish
I had a wacky idea the other night, concerning the static piles of trash strewn about the wastes. One would think that such refuse might contain something of at least some value, right? I'd love to make a mod that allows the player to search garbage and rubble piles for goodies, but I don't exactly know how I would go about giving container properties to static scenery objects. Could anyone help me out here?

It would be nice if you could scavenge the cars in the wastelands too for parts like scrap metal.

Alastair91
Yes, like that mod. I didn't know about it until now, thanks. I think he's also using invisible containers for his mod.
Quetzlsacatanango
Can't you just change the mesh of a locker or whatever to a rubble mesh?
RideTheCatfish
Placing an invisible container would work, but it'd take a damn lot of time. I was looking for a way to maybe change the pre-existing rubble piles.
TheChan
Create a bunch of new objects in the containers tree that use the same meshes as the statics. Then use the find and replace tool to replace all the rubble piles in the Wasteland to the new ones.
