Jahmir0 Posted February 12, 2010 Share Posted February 12, 2010 Yeah i think you´re right about that, the arms must have to be detached from the upperbody for the dismemberment to happen properly. However i´ve tried it and it didn´t work, maybe i didn´t separate them in the right place. Or maybe it also has something to do with the rigging. I´m trying to find a mod that does this with some other armor(i´m sure i´ve seen one somewhere). Anyway i´ll see if i can find some info on this and try again tomorrow. Jahmir0 Posted February 13, 2010 Share Posted February 13, 2010 Well i got rid of the stretching but this is the result: http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/3598/screenshot62.png :blink: The stretching problem happened because the arms of the cuirass were rigged to some upperbody bones, by rigging them only to the arm bones i got rid of it. But since they are no longer rigged to those bones they don´t deform like they should, as you can see in the picture. I made another mesh without the arms but with shoulder pauldrons. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KRQR0QL7 Now i´m thinking i might have just kept the whole arm and raised the shoulder pauldrons a bit. Anyway have a look at it and test it in game. Also tell me what you would like me to change in it, i can probably do one with the whole arm and raise the pauldron a bit and make it round so it looks more like the original townguard armor(but it still won´t be connected to the body). I actually think it looks better without the arms, and anyway, thanks again! All I have to do now is get my stubborn brother to make a new texture for it and I'll upload a screenshot when I'm done. Thats also a skeleton, its from the midas magic mod. I used it to get an idea of how i should rig the armor. I couldn´t find the one i was looking for, i´m almost certain i´ve seen a skeleton with a full body armor(with arms attached to the body) in a mod here on Nexus, but since i really can´t find it i used this one as a guide. Its a very cool cuirass he made for skeletons that makes them look almost like a different creature, i think its called midas droid or something like that.
