archive invalidation

i was really into this game when it first came out and now im getting back into it

im trying to use this mod:

and did what i thought was correct for this:

-copy ArchiveInvalidation.txt into your Fallout 3 directory,

and it doesn't seem to be taking

can someone please let me know what to do

Download this and then put it in your install directory instead of using the .txt file.

doesnt fallout mod manager come with that though?

I have it activated for FOMM

Yes, you may use the one at FOMM too. It's the same. Your new textures should show, are you certain you see no difference? Maybe you placed the mod incorrectly. Should be placed in E:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data (example). If you have texture graphics settings on medium or low, you won't see much of a difference.

I know for a fact that i have it placed correctly and i have it on very high settings

the skins for 2 of the weapons should be different and the rest should look better so i know it is not taking

I'm using that mod currently too. Also on very high settins. Please Post a screenshot. I will post one too to make a compare.

thanks for the help but at this point ive already replaced all the weapon models with better looking guns anyway

originally i was just going to get all my old favorite mods going but there are so many new great ones now
