One day one of these tramps crashed down near the Town of Springvale. A group of travellers who looted burnt down old building came across it one day. The material from the tramp was enough to build a large town. The leader of these 'travellers" took a vote on whether to move on or to stay and build up there colony in the ruins. The majority of people who where in the group voted Yes. This is how the town of Megaton was made. FYI this information was based on data from the oldest civilian of nowadays megaton.
