Gotejjeken
I recently installed Oblivion again and have downloaded quite a few mods. Two of them are giving me trouble, these are "Get Wet" and "Animated Window Lighting System". The problem I am experiencing with "Get Wet" is that my character glows purple whenever they come into contact with water instead of having the droplet effect. My problem with AWLS is all of the windows turn a bright red at night instead of displaying light. My Load Order is: Oblivion.esmUnofficial Oblivion Patch.espUOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix.espSymphony of Violence.espAtmospheric Oblivion.espweather inside [seasons] v1.2.espOblivion Citadel Door Fix.espGet Wet.espKnights.espDLCShiveringIsles.espWindowLightingSystem.espHiyoko_Store.espNatural_Weather_HDR_by_Max_Tael.espNatural_Water_by_Max_Tael.espNatural_Habitat_by_Max_Tael.espNatural_Vegetation_by_Max_Tael.espNatural_Weather_HDR_2.1.2_coloroverride.espphinix-waterfix.espLiving Economy.espLiving Economy - Items.espFormID Finder4.espCutthroat Merchants.espX.Races.Comp.espMidasSpells.espRainbows.espOscuro's_Oblivion_Overhaul.esp I tried using FormID on the windows, however nothing showed up. I suspect there could be a load order problem, however I have no idea where. If it helps my computer specs are: Windows Vista Home Premium x64Radeon 5850Core 2 Quad Q66004GB Crucial RAMCreative X-Fi Soundcard (I am having some sound tearing issues with Oblivion as well / menu music will not play) Any help is greatly appreciated. Jenrai
I'm not surprised you're having issues running get wet, max's Natural water, and phinix's waterfix all side by side. Thats a lotta mods altering the same thing. Though I would expect just the water to be borked display wise. Try disabling either/both Max's and Phinix's to see if Get Wet will then work as normal and get back to us. Get Boss if you're worried about your load order... one of the handiest utilities out there, and essential unless you're a bored witless twink like me with too much time on your hands... and I still use it. To fix what I break. XD Jenrai
Gotejjeken
After disabling both, Get Wet still does not work. It appears the same problem is happening with Get Wet that is happening with AWLS, that is my windows are bright red at night (suggesting maybe a missing texture or mesh?) and Get Wet makes my character glow purple when exposed to water (shader problem?). I attempted to follow the installation instructions for both closely...I am going to see if I missed anything. Everything else is working wonderfully. EDIT: Apparently I fail at copying texture folders...Get Wet works now. Hopefully that's my problem with AWLS. Well if anything, after disabling one of my water mods, Oblivion is no longer crashing on exit! EDIT2: Carefully re-installed AWLS...and it is still giving issues. The windows flicker like there is light coming through, however they are either pure pink (day) or dark red (night).
XJDHDR
Do you any kind of Archive Invalidation?
Gotejjeken
Not really sure what that does. I did it once after I downloaded Qarl's Texture Pack, although I don't know if that was a good thing or bad thing to do.
XJDHDR
Basically, Archive Invalidation helps Oblivion find textures that a mod has added to the game. So yes, Archive Invalidation is a good thing to use. The only thing though is to be careful of what invalidation you use. Don't use the method which involves creating a text document called ArchiveInvalidation.txt in the Oblivion folder then fill that with the locations of all the new textures. Instead, you can use one of three other methods. 1- Open OBMM and use BSA Alteration or BSA Redirection. 2- Use Wrye Bash's ArchiveInvalidation method. 3- Download ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated from TESNexus. Gotejjeken
I ran ArchiveInvalidation on the meshes and textures (using BSA Alteration), and got 20 hash collisions. The hash were generated in the text file and look like:...meshes/rocks/westweald/rockwestwealdburnt04.nifmeshes/rocks/westweald/rockwestweald02.nifmeshes/rocks/westweald/rockwestweald04.nifmeshes/dungeons/chargen/prisonhall03.nifmeshes/dungeons/chargen/idpitfloor2waynocol01c.nifmeshes/rocks/jeralmountains/jmrocksnow04.niftextures/menus80/icons/clutter/iconbook3.ddstextures/menus/icons/clutter/iconbook3.ddstextures/menus50/icons/clutter/iconbook3.ddstextures/dungeons/chargen/prisoncellwall03.dds Are those entries things that could not be changed? XJDHDR
I can't answer that question unfortunately. I have never used BSA Alteration because BSA Redirection was more appealing to me.
Gotejjeken
I have tried both methods (alteration and redirection) to no avail. All of the windows in my game are missing and I am not sure why. The meshes and textures are physically there, yet the game is not finding them. Is there a certain way I should use Archive Invalidation? I just ran it after all my mods were installed... EDIT: It seems I am missing textures again >_<. I checked the download page and realized the required/optional textures are definitely not optional. Everything works great now...thanks.
