Thalan1a
I just installed the basic Nevada Skies and when I check with LOOT I get there message below. Also when I launch the game it gets to the load screen and nothing happens. I get a pop up error message saying "Missing Master! Check Mod load order". What is causing this? Also even though I had the radstorms turned off I'm getting hit with +13 rads constantly. The radstorms were on at one point and I turned it off.NevadaSkies - TTW Edition.espCRC: BAF0C065•Error: This plugin requires "Fallout3.esm" to be installed, but it is missing.•Error: This plugin requires "Anchorage.esm" to be installed, but it is missing.•Error: This plugin requires "ThePitt.esm" to be installed, but it is missing.•Error: This plugin requires "BrokenSteel.esm" to be installed, but it is missing.•Error: This plugin requires "PointLookout.esm" to be installed, but it is missing.•Error: This plugin requires "Zeta.esm" to be installed, but it is missing.•Error: This plugin requires "TaleOfTwoWastelands.esm" to be installed, but it is missing. Unno
Nevada Skies installation instructions: 1. Copy all the files into the Fallout New Vegas "Data" Directory2. You always have to activate NevadaSkies.esm3. Choose between the files listed below and only activate one of them, never together! - NevadaSkies.esp -> This file has to be activated if you DO NOT own DLC Content Packs. - NevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edition.esp -> This file has to be activated, if you have all FNV DLCs. - NevadaSkies - TTW Edition.esp -> This file has to be activated, if you have Tale of Two Wastelands installed.4. Put the ESP-File of your Choice at the very end of your load order! Delete the other two ESP-Files.5. Now your Fallout New Vegas "Data" Directory should hold the files listed below: - meshes/sky/clouds.nif (has to be out of the BSA-Archive to work correctly) - NevadaSkies - Main.bsa - NevadaSkies - Sounds.bsa - NevadaSkies.esm - ESP of your choice (see point 3)6. If you miss any of these files, it won't work.

BitterLemonAIDE1414
Now, this might just be my rookie lack of modding experience here, but there's no option for me to "activate" NevadaSkies.esm or my NevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edition.esp. Am I missing something here? When it says activate what does it exactly mean? I'm using a Windows 10 computer so stuff has undoubtably changed since this conversation. dubiousintent
"Activate" is a term associated with some mod managers. Another would be "enable". In all cases they refer to telling the game to use particular plugins from mods. See the "Terminology" section of the "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article for a more thorough distinction between the terms "downloaded", "installed", and "activated/enabled". If you aren't using a "mod manager" (and you should if you have more than a dozen or so mods), then it refers to enabling the "checkbox" in the game "Data" options for the plugin, so the game will load it. -Dubious- Edited January 8, 2017 by dubiousintent

dubiousintent
This isn't Twitter. Please be a little more specific about what your problem consists of. Presuming you are referring to having removed the two ESMs you do not need from your "Data" folder as referenced above: - NevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edition.esp -> This file has to be activated, if you have all FNV DLCs. - NevadaSkies - TTW Edition.esp -> This file has to be activated, if you have Tale of Two Wastelands and now only have installed: - NevadaSkies.esp -> This file has to be activated if you DO NOT own DLC Content Packs. Your question implies you do not understand how you "activate" your "load order". That depends upon which "mod manager" (if any) you are using; or by "checking" each plugin in the "Main Menu | Data" option. Please see the "Terminology" and the appropriate tutorials under the 'Mod Managers' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. -Dubious-
