MW2366
Hey, I've been having this problem for a while now, but it seems that every human face is frozen (namely headhuman.nif, egm, egt, and tri) when in dialogue, sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't (in fact all the time), Argonian and Khajiit heads, however, work fine, and Lip Sync with dialogue, I'm pretty sure it isn't one of my mods doing this as I've actually tested it on Oblivion.esm itself and still has the problem, I'm either thinking that I have to reinstall Oblivion, or see if I can get a functioning headhuman from someone or a mod, as I can't rely on Oblivion - Meshes.bsa anymore to see if it fixes the problem (headhuman in Oblivion - Meshes.bsa practically has the same files and size of it's unpacked form). I know Voices1 and 2 .bsa work as the mp3's play and the voices lip sync if they get a chance. :wallbash: Could really get some help on this eluding problem. :thanks:
XJDHDR
Did you install any mods or otherwise change your Oblivion installation in any way around the time this problem started occuring?
MW2366
Did you install any mods or otherwise change your Oblivion installation in any way around the time this problem started occuring? I don't think so, probably just started off randomly for no reason, I can't find any configuration settings that would cause it from the .ini, I've pretty much had the vanilla heads since I've installed it, and same goes with the lip and mp3 files in the voice folder. It's probably just been added on to with new acquisition of mods and patches... anyways, I've reinstalled Oblivion (v1.0), gonna see if the heads work before I patch to SI/Oblivion v1.2.0416. EDIT: Well... even after a reinstall of Oblivion, the original has the aforementioned problem (even re-extracted the nif/egm/egt/tri files), so now I'm going to see if I can get any change from re-extracting the voices on v1.0, if that doesn't work, then, I dunno, this'll probably be quite a new bug I've contracted, probably gonna go see if Oblivion.esm folder shouldn't have those modded voices in it (anything other than the vanilla race lip/mp3 files, and SI). MW2366
UPDATE: and thus I have solved the Face Freeze bug, obviously something went wrong with the faces/lip syncs, but after a complete and fresh install, it's back to normal! Soo, now I have to track down how I did it in the first place, so I don't make it again, or install a mod which alters faces/lip syncs in the Oblivion.esm voice folder. Yay for kinda-sort-of troubleshooting one's own problems.
XJDHDR
Good luck with that. Also good to know the problem is solved.
MW2366
Good luck with that. Also good to know the problem is solved. Well... it's not like I have over 200 mods to reinstall, at most it's like... 10-15. I'm thinking it was either Better Cities or Dragons of Camalot... either it's a BSA conflict with the vanilla or secret doors in vanilla that led to Camalot and screwed with the AI Packages everywhere in every city... meh, I'll eventually figure it out. :whistling: EDIT: and... in no time at all... 3 mins, I just found out that CS 1.2 has broken lip sync files when creating them... ehm, Unofficial Patch on CS anyone? :P
XJDHDR
I forgot about that. I did read somewhere that creating lip sync files with the v1.2 CS is impossible. The way everyone works around that problem is to use the v1.0 CS to generate lip sync files then use the v1.2 one to do everything else.
MW2366
I forgot about that. I did read somewhere that creating lip sync files with the v1.2 CS is impossible. Well yay, got Oblivion all up an' running again, no more face freezing, dialogue is in sync, and I got some extra mods whilst out searching for all my originals, maybe if this happens again, I'll only have to uninstall v1.2 CS eh? Or maybe not, at least I'll just save the Data folder meshes/textures/sounds if it happens next time...
