A guide to leveling in Megaton (based on good karma)

This a guide with all the details for megaton quests. Compiled by myself. Note that you dont even have to leave megaton to complete some of these quests.

 

 

Treatment:

 

1.Go to the water treatment plant,

 

2.Ask Walter the man working there what needs to be done around here,

 

3.There is 3 leakages in the town somewhere when you ask him why he can't do it himself,

he says he is too busy, (If your starting intelligence is at least 5, a simple way of completing this is to take Mentats, then equip the Vault 101 Utility Jumpsuit. Doing this will give you the 30 repair skill required to fix the leaking pipes).

 

4.One leakage is located on top of the Church of Atom, the second one is on the hill where you

enter, right by the staircase to get to your Megaton house, the third one is located on the hill opposite of where you enter Megaton that leads to the Common House.

 

5. The reward is 200 caps

 

 

 

 

 

The Power Of The Atom

 

1.Talk to Lucas Simms Town Sherrif (if you haven't already accepted his quest about disarming the bomb).

 

2.Walk down the stairs to the bomb in the middle of the town.

 

3.Press interact and select 'Attempt to Disarm the bomb'

 

4.You need an explosive skill of at least 25 to disarm the bomb, if not take some mentants

 

5.Talk again to Lucas Simms, the reward for the quest is 100 caps and the deed/key to megaton house (if your speech is high enough at the start of the game you will get 500 caps as well as the megaton house deed/key.

Leo's Drug Habit

 

1.Walk to the Clinic and talk to Doc Church, he will say that a worker at the Water Treatment Plant and Constant Consumer at the Brass Lantern Leo Stahl is on a heavy amount of chems, he want's you to talk Leo out of it.

 

2.Leo Stays at the Brass Lantern at day and works at the Water treatment plant at night go walk to whichever depending on what time of day your playing at. (Game Time)

 

3.Ask him about the chem adiction, (SAVE FIRST) the best way and the good way to do this is by using the speech option. You only have one chance at talking him out of it.

 

4.He will ask you to clear out his stash at the WTP.

 

5.For a reward you get 110 experience and a key to his chem stash

 

 

 

 

Wasteland Survival Guide

[Chapter One]

 

1.Go to the craterside supply and talk to Moira Brown, she is working on a book called the 'Wasteland Survival Guide".

 

2.Firstly take the rad quest and go to the Bathroom and keep on drinking from the toilet till you get 200 Rads and then return to Moira.

 

3. She will give you Rad Away to cure Yourself.

 

 

 

Wasteland Survival Guide

[Chapter Two]

 

1.Now That you have completed so many quests you should be at least level 3 and have at least 500 caps.

 

2.Head to Craterside Supply and buy some good armor and weapons.

 

3.Walk OUTSIDE the town of Megaton and head for super Duper mart

4.The mart is full of raiders but with your new armor and weapons you should be tough enough to kill them.

 

5.As you walk in the door on the far side of the entrantce to the carpark, you will see a refrigarator there is all the foodstuffs you need inside there

 

6.The reward for the quest is some food.

Faster way to get radiated is to sit in the pool around the bomb while drinking. Not much faster but it helps :P.

I remember when I left this till pretty much last... but by then I had a lot of Rad perks :wallbash:

Don't forget, if you are going to disarm the bomb go up to Moriarty's first and just shoot Burke in the face for a few extra exp points, a silenced pistol and ammo, and a nice looking hat. :)
