-Background Story-

There are rumors about a new cult or organization that has taken refugee in some cave in County Anvil.

The locals, though, said that the cave emerged from the earth itself.

The count of Anvil is worried about this and sent three scouts to investigate.

Only one returned, he spoke of numerous gloomy corridors, horrendous creatures and dark people of all types inhabited the dungeon. In fact, he described it as an « underground city ». When asked what happened to the two other scouts, he took a long moment to answer, as he was so terrified. One has been killed and eaten by two goblins and the other has mysteriously dissapeared.

The count asked the Mages' Guild to gather whatever information about this "underground city". The mages found out that this complex is the home of a "Keeper". The Keeper is not a physical being, but he is more mystic, like the Divines. It's strength resides in the Dungeon Heart. If destroyed, the whole dungeon will lose it's powers.

The creatures that reside in this place are attracted by the power of the Keeper. With his power, every creatures and person in the dungeon never hate each other, wheter it's a goblin and a rogue, or a dark knight and a ghost.

If the Heart is destroyed, the creatures will not be under the spell anymore and will attack each other, therefore, creating chaos in the dungeon.

With this information gathered, the count asked his newly hired steward to attract any heroes and adventurers seeking riches and glory.

Seven heroes are to enter the dark dungeon.

Only six have been hired so far.

Creature Information

NOTE : As this mod has been strongly influenced by the PC game Dungeon Keeper, some creatures are the same as in the game. Therefore, two creatures hold the same name as in DK.

NOTE 2 : Some screenies are official ones from Betheseda.

-Imp Worker-

These little fellas are nothing like Tamriel's imps, physically speaking. They are the ones who are responsible of the main tasks in the dungeon. They mine gold and dig tunnels to expand the realm. Most of the Keepers treate them badly. Many Imps died in the hands of the Keeper because they didn't work fast enough. They flee at the first sight of the ennemy and warn nearby alies.

-Goblin-

Those goblins are nothing like the ones that roam the surface of Tamriel. This species have lived their whole lives in dark tunnels, fighting strange creatures. They are strong, but only as a pack. That is why you will always see at least two goblins together. Every goblin knows that a lone goblin is a dead goblin.

-Warlock-

These humans sworn their lives to the unholy gods. Day and night, they read books and search for new spell formulas that could aid the Keeper. They are powerful in every school of magic and will never hesitate to summon monsters to their aid.

-Rogue-

Most of the Rogues serving the Keeper served the Thieves' Guild but got banished. It is said that it is the Keeper's large treasury that attracted them. Rogues are often used to sneak in the dungeon's dark corridors and report any sightings of ennemies. Though some like to spend some time in the treasury instead of working.

-Skeleton-

The heroes who died of starvation in the Prison are resurrected as powerful Skeletons by the Warlocks. These fierce undead are often put on the frontline because fear cannot harm them. They are mostly seen guarding the Prison, the Crypt or simply wandering around the dungeon.

-Ghost-

Every heroes who die from torture are transformed as ghosts, doomed to haunt the dungeon and guard the crypt as long as they live. They also like to haunt the library and distract the Warlocks.

-Vampire-

Vampires are always a must in the army of the undead. They prefer the quiet crypts where they can socialize with the ghosts and the zombies. Some can be seen in the library too. It is said that they have two lives. Once killed, a vampire will re-appear in his lair. If killed a second time, he is banished forever.

-Zombie-

Slow, without brain and bruised, Zombies are rarely seen wandering far away from their tombs. Most of the day, they wander in random directions, mumbling something, then walk in another direction. Perfect for being thrown in the Arena for entertainment.

-Minotaur-

These beasts are one of the most powerful of the whole dungeon. For their high agressivity, they share their lair with Ogres and Goblins. They spend their day training or fighting each other in peaceful matches in the Arena for entertainment.

-Dark Knight-

Dark Knights have sworn their loyalty to the Keeper. Every act of violence for completing an evil deed is largely accepted. Dark Knights, who are anti-social at bests, have their own lairs and are always roaming the dungeon in groups of two or three.

-Dark Mistress- ( No picture for the lady. Sorry folks, but the Official picture of her can be offensive. Google it :P )

These vicious women who's pure entertainment is torturing heroes all day long are fiercious warriors. Their hate for "Goody Goddy" heroes is so high that will not hesitate to charge the ennemy, no matter the numerical advantage. They spend their day torturing heroes... or torturing themselves. Beautiful...but deadly...

-Ogre-

Deadly as Minotaurs, stupid as a zombie. These large warriors like to mess around with the goblins. But their big muscles are mostly used in making traps and weapons at the Blacksmith. At least, they are intelligent enough to carry on those tasks...

-Dark Elf- ( I think you've seen enough of them :) )

The Dark Elves that inhabit the dungeon have nothing related to the Dunmer, except the look. These Dark Elves come from the bottom of the earth and are perect sharpshooters. For some reasons they like to stand guard at the dungeon's crucial parts.
