Can't give you much help on how-to, but there's a companion-building tutorial on the CS Wiki ...

http://cs.bethsoft.com/constwiki/index.php...panion_Tutorial

That's if you want to make your own from scratch rather than adapting one from another mod (ask the modder's permission first  )

You'd need to set ownership of the house to your companion and yourself (though you can't get inside until you have the key), so you could study how in-game NPCs are made to own their houses and travel back and forth to/from them.

You could study the scripting on in-game quests that involve obtaining an object (for instance a key) from another NPC.

I did say it was an ambitious idea. More experienced modders might give you more detailed help ;)

Well here's a possible scenario that avoids the exchange-of-object problem.

You enter an inn (any town) and a woman (for the sake of this example) approaches you and initiates a conversation, in which she tells you her ex-lover still has a key to her house (the one you the modder are going to build). The ex-lover is one of the standard Oblivion minor NPCs. She asks you to break into his house and get the key (which you've placed in a cupboard or somewhere in the CS) back for her.

When you return with the key, she says she likes the look of you and says you can keep it (I guess she's a free & easy lady), and tells you where the house is (quest marker).

Note that it doesn't matter if the key-stealer happens to have been killed, as you still have to break in to his house. Also you'd need good sneak skills, so it isn't a novice-quest. You could maybe have to get other stuff he's stolen from her as well.

Bravil looks like the sort of town where ladies of easy virtue might be found :D

Are you going to create all new models ? I just started making new house models and its probably best to start off with small shacks then large houses. You should start off with something like this .

Nothing too hard .I whipped this up in about 10 minutes.A small shack with a small room and a cozy basement.Unfortunately I havent found any house modeling tutorials so your on your own there !
