forli
Look at these screenshots: As you see, the LOD disappear, and the objects (like rocks, forts, and caves) are loaded only when I'm very near.I don't use LOD replacer. I don't understand the origins of this glitch. Somebody can help me?
forli
This problem isn't only in the landscape. Now look at Skingrad:[attachment=10733:LOD_hide_shop__.jpg] It happends after I exit from an interior in a town. After a minute or two, the game hide the LOD with the "Loading area" text.I can also disable and enable "Distant Land" in video settings. So "Loading LOD" message appear, and it hide the LOD near my PG The Patch 1.2 of Oblivion say: "Fixed an issue for LOD art for city was not unloading quickly enough when exiting an interior."The Patch 1.2 of Shivering Isle say: "Fixed issue with LOD not loading in properly when entering/exiting worldspaces." Well I have installed Oblivion, I haven't installed the Oblivion patch 1.2, I have installed Shivering Isle, and finally I have installed the the Shivering Isle patch 1.2. This is the problem? I've miss the Oblivion patch 1.2 or it is included in Shivering Isle patch 1.2?
XJDHDR
Your exterior LOD looks pretty much normal to me. Oblivion doesn't keep these small objects in it's LOD because it would be too much of a burden for some PCs. Otherwise, you can change the maximum distance that objects are displayed at in the video options menu by sliding the four object sliders all the way to the left. After that, it is pure LOD that is hiding them. You can also download a mod called RAEVWD which will allow Oblivion to show more objects in it's LOD than normal. Understand though that this will put more strain on your PC and only very powerful PCs can run with full RAEVWD enabled and even then, they can't run with it and a large texture pack installed. As for the interior buildings, see if those object sliders I mentioned make a difference. If not, see what the "Texture size" setting is set to in the Video Options menu. bben46
If you have the v1.2 SI patch, you do not want the Oblivion v1.2 patch as the oblivion patch is included in the SI version. For tweaking the game, there is a very good explanation of this as well as how to get the most out of it here: http://www.tweakguides.com/ Also, if you are running streamline, it works by sacrificing video features - like LOD for higher FPS. What you will see happen is when you stop moving, the more distant objects will gradually fade into view. and as soon as you start moving again they will fade out of view. It reduces the video features to try and maintain the FPS you specified. If you are running streamline, turn it off to see if the problem stops. Be sure to go into the video settings after turning streamline off as it will have changed them while you were playing.
forli
Are you sure that the exterior LOD are ok? Look at the road in the first two screenshot. Did you see? The LOD hide the road. And sometimes the objects are loaded so near to my PG that they appear right in front to me. In normal condition I should see the forts, the rocks and the caves on the other side of a river (Example: the big river right to the imperial city island). But in my conditions, the only thing I can see is LOD!!! I'm not running StreamLine and all the object sliders (except for interior and exterior shadows) are 100%, and all the details (except for all the shadows, Bloom and HDR) are set on the higher values. The problem is that the game shouldn't show LOD in towns, especially when I'm very near. I've also tried to run TES4LODGen, and I've removed the ini (the game has created a new one) without results. If I start a new game all the LOD are showed correctly, and I can see far away (From the sewer's exit I can see the objects on the other side of the river, and the the only LOD I see are the distant mountains that divide Cyrodiil from Morrowind). It seems that after some hours of gameplay, something corrupt the LOD.
