TheRedRabbit
I like to dress up. I like to wear rings, a necklace, bracelets, a bunny ear headband, a tiara/diadem, and wings. For this reason, most of my Oblivion characters would also like to dress up. They want to wear rings, a necklace, bracelets, a bunny band, a tiara/diadem, wings, and their tails if they are Kajiit or Argonian. I know Oblivion only has a limited number of equipment slots for clothes (shirt, pants, shoes, hair/helm), weapons (ammo, weapon), and accessories (2 rings, amulet, tail). I get that and do not need those explanations.I also know wrye bash can enable unlimited amulets and rings, but they will not be visible.I also know there is at least one mod that claims you can wear your unlimited amulets and rings and have two rings and one amulet visible.None of this helps. I do not want to break my character with unlimited powerful amulets. I just want accessories (that aren't even enchanted) to show up. I'm not a modder (yet) or a scripter (still *sadface*) and therefore only have limited knowledge of what obse and the cs can do. I searched here and with google, and the cs/obse wikis and did not find an answer. (159 pages of posts is just too many) As a last resort I am posting in hopes that someone much smarter and experienced with this sort of thing will have the time and patience to let me know if obse is capable of adding more visible amulets, or maybe different equipment slots altogether. (I assume it would have to be done with obse since it's not in the original game functions.) I think it is just a software short coming because I have no doubt my system could support more items graphically and processor-wise. I thank you for taking the time to view my topic and hope someone knows the answer. I will be super grateful if that someone could share.~TheRedRabbit
kieranfoy
Don't think so. It's hardwired into Oblivion. You could have a modder sort of make several amulets into one, and it would look like you were having many amulets hanging around your neck, but it only uses one slot. I've seen it done with some rings.
TheRedRabbit
kieranfoy, It is unfortunate that obse cannot "extend" the equipment "script," but if it really is the case, then a brick wall is a brick wall. However, that is such a superbly amazing idea. Combine the model of wings with a ring or the bunny band with an amulet to only use one slot. That is a very clever workaround, kudos to you and whomever you saw doing it. I suppose, as I learn my way around the construction set more, I could do this for myself. It really is a pity if we cannot simply add an equipment slot though. It'll take forever to create a respectable number of combinations for adequate character customization. Thank you many bunches for your reply. I wish you a good day today and many tomorrows.~TheRedRabbit
kieranfoy
And have a ncie day yourelf. Yes, it is a pain, but I salute you for recognizing a brick wall before I have to slam your head repeatedly into it as many have not. One day, perhaps, someone will figure out a way to make more equipment slots, but with todays tools, the cheap workaround will have to do.
L33Nexus
;) nice Red a proper way to thank someone I'm sure you have pleased Kieran and made yourself a "workaround" from Kieranation
TheRedRabbit
*blush*I don't think politeness should be something which requires recognition. I'm pretty new to these forums, but judging solely from your posts kieranfoy and L33Nexus, kieranfoy is a force to be reckoned with and I am glad my personality prevents me from being a target of that force. L33Nexus
Well yeah it's actually quite amusing to watch him become the hulk when he helps someone and they throw it back in his face XD I had my ups and downs with Kieran at first but as time went on we just get along... Well :D
