Draco856
OBSE won't run when I launch the Steam version of Oblivion. I did everything the read-me said to do, I've put all the .dll files I was supposed to in the folder with the Oblivion EXE, but when I start the game, mods that require OBSE give me error messages. XJDHDR
Are you starting the game with "obse_loader.exe"?
Draco856
No, it won't let me. And in the ReadMe it says OBSE will start automatically.
Draco856
The message I get is "You are trying to use a Steam version of Oblivion. Please see the instructions in obse_readme.txt for more information" when I use the OBSE exe. ------ From the ReadMe: If you are using the Steam version of the game: 1. Copy obse_1_2_416.dll, obse_editor_1_0.dll, obse_editor_1_2.dll, and obse_steam_loader.dll to your Oblivion directory. This is usually "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\oblivion".2. OBSE will automatically be run along with Oblivion when launched. To disable this, rename or move obse_steam_loader.dll.
XJDHDR
If the method that the readme says you must use doesn't work, you should probably ask for help in the OBSE thread on the Bethsoft forums since this means that there is either a bug in the loader or the readme isn't properly written, both of which need to be sorted out by the creaters.
