clockout1 Posted February 17, 2010 Share Posted February 17, 2010 Ok, so if anyone has ever read any of the books in the Wheel of Time series, you know about channeling. If not (you should read them, they're pretty good, if not huge) it's a very complex system of weaving together flows of fire, earth, water, air, and spirit. They can be combined to create different effects/ spells. The two exceptions are shields and wards. Shields can mean two things- either blocking a weave or tying off someone's link to magic. Wards are basically protective bubbles. So anyway, I think that if it could be handled through message boxes it would be epic in Oblivion. So here's my layout idea. First, through a message box, you select the flows you wish to combine, or if you want to attempt to make a shield or ward. Then, you will be returned with a level of the weave's complexity (part random, part based on intelligence + wisdom). Then, based on the complexity, you will be given a list of spell options. EDIT: I have come up with the idea to use leveled vanilla Oblivion spells (breaking armor, etc.) but with new animations coupled with a few new spells. Anyone wanna help me with this?
