Luxar
Ok. I'm having some issues here. I'm trying to reinstall Morrowind, after having reinstalled windows about a month ago after a virus attack. To this point, everything on my comp has been working fine. Here's the issue:29% through the install, a Component Transfer Error box comes up. It says: Component: SoundsFile Group: SoundFile: D:\data2.cabError: Incorrect function. At this point, the file being installed according to the tracker in the bottom right hand of the page says: C:\...\Data Files\Sound\Vo\o\f\Hit_OF008.mp3 After clicking ok, the install automatically closes, and upon restarting the same error occurs. This is my first step, and I have not yet tried anything to fix it. System Specs:Win XP Home1.9 ghz pentium 4(dell dimension 8200 pc)geforce3 ti200512mb ram Ask me if you need anything else. Thanks
Marxist ßastard
Clean the CD. If it still doesn't work, try to salvage the files by making an exact copy of the CD. If there's an option to retry the transfer, switch the CDs when the prompt comes up and see if you can complete and installation that way. If not, try installing from the copy disk. If copy protection prevents you from doing this, the only option you have left is the toothbrush treatment.
