jim001
Are there any Mods or Add-Ons that allow you to have more than four characters in your party, with the exception of the one that allows for the dog as an extra in the party?
Thandal
Yes, the capability to break the "4-Member Limit" is already there (depending on how elaborate you want to get.) Search for DA:O "runscript" and you'll get the entire set of developer "hacks" that enable a variety of special conditions and actions. Among them are "zz_addparty". While using that script takes some getting used to. (I inadvertently messed-up my entire replay of the final battle by adding a particular Grey Warden when the whole point of the effort was to finish with the *other* one....) Some Caveats: 1) The added NPCs will have severely limited use of talents and spells. You should establish their "tactics" as completely as you can BEFORE employing this "Party Overload" technique because you will not be able to do more than designate their equipment, targets, and destinations during play. 2) The additional NPCs will not appear in the top-left interface of Party members. You'll have to select them by clicking their figures on-screen, not their portraits. 3) If you add NPCs who have left YOU due to game-world decisions you made previously (e.g. at the conclusion of the Landsmeet encounter) they will join with a weird assortement of equipment: not their starting sets and not what they had when they left. If it matters, you might want to "recover" particularly valuable/powerful items before triggering these departures. ('course if you're overloading your Party, you probably don't need the additional gear anyway.) I've played with parties of 6, 7, and 8. One new feat that any of the "extra" party memebers gets is the ability to teleport at a certain point in the plot, (since they were with you in one location, but then "appear" elsewhere!) Another randomly funny/disconcerting result (depending on the specific characters/relationships/dialogue triggers involved) are the conversations. Most situations work normally, but some can be a "bit off-kilter". Much like what happens with the "Equal Love" mod when you trigger remarks that were only recorded with the *other* gender's pronouns.
