darrell87
Hello All, First, let me apologize if this had been officially announced already, but, a Google and forum search did not turn up any useful information. Basically, I am trying to install Fallout 3 UK v1 retail on Vista Ultimate 32bit with Admin privileges and with the latest GFWL version ALREADY installed. Everything appears OK, but, the only icon for the game IS on the GFWL launcher. Specifically, there is no Bethesda -> Fallout 3, etc.. icons in the start menu. Is this a new behavior of the latest GFWL or is my install failing to perform some step? I know I can make shortcuts and I know how, but, I need to know if my computer is having problems. Also, if this is a new behavior, is there an official(from Microsoft or Bethesda) way to make the installer add both GFWL and start menu shortcuts? FYI: Oblivion did not have this problem ans both where installed into the root of C:\ which is why I think it has to do with GFWL. Thank You, Darrell Lewis
fap6000
I use XP, but it seems that if you can drag an drop from the start menu to desktop that you could also go the other way. Also try finding the default launcher down in the C:/bethesda softworks/fallout 3 folder, right click an see if you have to option to add to the start menu. There might be something in the start menu properties as well. (which in XP you right click on the task bar, then there is a tab for start menu) Most people use FOMM to launch anyway, FOMM will launch via FOSE if it detects it, FOSE among other things disables GFWL.
