Repo! The Genetic Opera, the mod

I was watching "Repo! The Genetic Opera" which is a sort of rock musical about an corporation that

sells organs, etcetera, offering genetic perfection, but if you fail to pay the fees they send a "Repo-man"

after you who repossesses the organs by cutting them out of you without anesthesia.

 

I had an idea, it will probably be a while before I get around

to it, but I'll put it here to see if anyone's interested.

 

The idea being that a small branch of the Morag Tong has been brought to Cyrodiil to support

a new rising company called Jeneko (GeneCo, but since this doesn't involve genetics...).

 

It's a group of powerful mages that have divined from Dwarven artifacts and some obscure

artifact (perhaps brought back by the Nerevarine from the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil) a method

of curing severe ailments that would be a death sentence to the medieval culture of Cyrodiil.

 

Naturally, the rich Imperials were quick to ensure the doctors moved to their

province so they could have immediate access to their skills.

 

If you achieve enough Infamy a messenger is dispatched saying the

the Morag Tong requests and audience with you. A group of 6 Tong

members, the Repo-men, are employed to carry out the various jobs.

 

You have a choice, either find your victim, brutally cut them to pieces,

and return the necessary organs to Jeneko, or carefully plot out a way

to help your mark escape the treatment and find a suitable replacement

for the organs.

 

If you follow the darker path, then the founder of Jeneko (Rotti Largo) reveals

the secret of the company to you, and as he's dying of an incurable disease

he leaves the company to you. The other repo-men perform the jobs, you

get a posh office and some extensive profits (not to mention the cool repo-man

gear I'll have made for you)

 

If you follow the light path, then you must face the other six repo-men, which

are each incredibly good fighters (if you talk to them enough you get the option

to help them escape life as a repo-man and thus make your final no-escape,

7 bosses battle a little easier) and Rotti uses the secret power to make himself

much stronger and will try to kill you.

 

The best part is, as a Repo-man, and a Tong, you get Writs of Execution, which

the guards are paid well to take (after all, who do you think keeps the lords and

ladies of the Empire in such good health?) So, no jail time for you!

 

Like I said, I'll get around to this eventually. Just would like to hear what people think.

Oh, man!

 

I've never seen Repo, but I've always eant to, as Anthony Head is an awesome actor.

 

This mod seems to combine humor, and the Morag Tong in a way I never expected.

 

Consider me signed up for anything I can do to help.

 

PS: have you done the Repo gear, or have any concept art? 'cause I'd love to see it.

Yeah, I got them. They're perfect. No more clipping on the Kratos blades.

 

I have some notes on the Wrathful Greatswords I'll PM you about.

 

I don't want to burden you with anything, L33, as you're so busy,

but if you have some time I trust you more to make some wicked

looking scalpel/knives/surgical weapons than I trust myself.

 

Especially after seeing that scythe thing you made for

the Blackadder mod, that thing is awesome!

No, I, haven't made the stuff yet. I bought the DVD the other day so I just started.

 

I'm hoping with some creative retexturing I can make the glossy

black coat and then see if I can mesh his mask. Then, hopefully,

a series of very nasty knives/scalpels that the Repo-Men use

so you're 'encouraged' to follow the dark path to get your hands

on them.

 

Really, I just want an excuse to voice some of the characters,

(I have to work in the line "When I remember, I dismember!")

but I have a real nasty ending boss battle planned, like I said,

if you didn't come prepared you are dead for certain.

 

I'll do a few tests on the coat and helmet mesh soon. There'll be

seven total Repo-men (Counting you), and each will probably have

there own textured coat so you can choose what you like (after you kill them).

 

I'm also going to use the Dwemer syringe arrows, they're a modder's resource,

I'll retex them to look like they have a glowing fluid in them. I'm thinking something

to do with the blue drug, Zydrate, but I haven't though of what yet.

Also, remember a while back you made some scalpels for me? Those are still very good, you could use them.

If you want to do something short and sweet, Kieran, you could write up

a advert for Jeneko, something you'd find lying around in posh houses.
