need some help

right am using this mod

 

Life Dectect

 

And am still getting the Normal Default purple cloud of eye blindness over top of what this mod ( linked) does

 

any thoughts?

 

i have

Surprema Magikca

ooo

MMM ..

deadly reflex

Unnecessary violence

 

the mod that alters the detect is loaded last :confused: but the purple cloud is still there

I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE CLOUD ONLY SHOWS UP WHEN AM VERY CLOSE

That looks like the normal image you see with the built in 'detect life' spell. And the default detect life also comes in several variations based on distance - a more powerful version will detect at longer range, and the default spells and magic detect life objects stack. if you have a amulet of Detect Life 25 feet, and a ring of detect life 50 feet, you will detect at 75 feet.

 

Is it possible the mod is not working? Remove every detect life object you have and test. Then activate the mod and test. finally test with the detect life objects and the mod to see what happens.

This happened to me too. I did not do any in-depth investigation or anything, but I THINK Supreme Magicka does it's own version of detect life, which works at the same time.

I just checked out my Supreme Magicka ini. The detect life settings are near the bottom. Here's the relevant entry:

 

Set SMDetectLifeOn to 0

;Setting to 0 turns off supreme magickas coloured detect life shading system.

;Only do this if you use your own detect life shader mod and load that mod after

;supreme magicka otherwise detect life will not do anything in game.

Right: you have access to multiple choices on Detect Life by changing the INI file for SM. At the same time, the BGMagicEVShader.ESP has to be loaded later than any other mod which would govern magicka visual effects. Typically, it's a good idea to put it towards the end of your list.

Just found this when looking in SM am going to load game and see if that works

Set SMDetectLifeOn to 3 <---thats what u will look for and make it 3

this i know and the mod is working do you not see the Orangeish light around the skelton thats the Detect life mod .. only thing active is the toggle spell

 

its just the Defualt one likes to over lap and the mod is loaded last After SM

 

 

it confuse me ill have a look in SM ini
