Markharow
DESCRIPTION:As you stagger into the town of canterbury commons, you are hurt, thirsy, hungry and out of bullets. poo. There is no house to rent in Canterbury commons and the merchants that go there are too expensive. You need somewhere to sleep and stock up on supplies. :wallbash: WHAT IT DOES:This mod adds a small safehouse to Canterbury commons, free of charge, you can rest there. Store your equipment there. Eat and Drink there. Take free ammo and guns from there. This mod was made compataible for all that. WHAT I NEED TO DO BEFORE IT IS RELEASED:1.I need to duplicate a cell and use it as the interior. I need some ideas for what cell to duplicate. Please pile up your comments. 2.I need a theme to work on, do people want prewar, raider, modern day or just a simple shack, please pile in comments for this aswell. WHERE IT CAME FROM:As previous left 4 dead players know, between each mission there is a safehouse where you can get pills, medpacs, shotguns, sniper rifles, SMGs etc. This mod was based on that and should really benefit low and high level players. GrandsonOfSam
So the mod will basically be a player house mod? You can look at all the other housing mods, and see what has been done previously to get somekind of view of what the houses normally have. 1. Please try to stick to the style the area has, so no vault in the Megaton house for example :) The houses (two of them there actually) give a good picture of the style you should use. 2. If you use a theme same way as the themes for the Megaton house are, you need to make them changeable, otherwise you limit drastically the playerbase that would be interested to actually download the mod. If you intend to use one permanent theme, I recommend staying close to the "general" wasteland style. One thing that is nice for any house mod (and which you can use for free in many places anyway) is the workbench. Ofcourse you can do about anything you want with the mod, as it is after all YOUR mod :) That is the way I mod, and most of the best modders probably agree on that too. Modding is supposed to be fun :) One thing to remember though is, that does the mod add something to the playing experience, and how big is it's impact on the game. Also try not to put any weapons, ammo or medical supplies there, as they are way too easy to come by already. I hope that helps you :)
