Link to sound sets

I have been using Oblivion Sound Sets for some time but I have the feeling that it does not work correctly. A lot of the time only the subtitles appear and there is no sound. I also feel that when my character speaks her voice is very low compared to the other voices.

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Try using a different set matey, see if its as quiet.

Some of the female ones in particular seemed to be made to be very "subtle" in nature, making them a bit hush-hush some of the time.

 

As for missing voices... are you sure you installed the full thing and don't have anything else which adds voice to player characters? Can't think of anything of the top of my head that would conflict, but some mods do weird things to other things that they shouldn't even touch.

I do not think that I have anything that conflicts with the mod. I feel that it works well when I am in battle, but otherwise there is not much.

Ahhh, right. I see what you're saying now. To be honest matey, I don't think there is supposed to be loads and loads and loads of chatter. Sometimes you need to be doing specific things (eg fighting, sneaking, stealing or trading) and others its just at key points when you figure certain things out. I've had it deactivated for a while, but I've just downloaded one for a newer toon so I'll have a play. DR does add a couple of voices (though thats only for things like sneak attack criticals) so it shouldn't interfere. I run DR and UV anyways, so there's one way to find out.
