I recently tried to install the deadly reflex mod on to my copy of TES Oblivion, it won't work, I have tried pinning the mod onto the game however everytime I do, another startup screen pops up and everything except the link to the TES website and the exit are unclickable, am I doing something wrong? I also have the manager, it wont let me drag the mod into it, am I allowed too? Help!

If you go to the install directory of oblivion, you will find a data folder there

For example, mine is: C:\Games\Oblivion\Data

You put all the mod files into this data folder.

When you download the mods here, you have to unzip them first. Then you will see that the mod contains some folders (meshes, textures) and a .esp file

(sometimes they also contain a .esm file.)

You have to put all those files into the Data folder of Oblivion.

But before you use mods, make sure you have the Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) installed, because some mods only work with it.

Just unzip the file into your Oblivion folder (NOT the data folder, the files have to be in the same folder as your Oblivion.exe is)

Get OBSE here!

Also make sure to install the Oblivion Mod Manager, because sometimes the game crashes down don't work if you have the wrong load order.

With the Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) you can change this load order. Get OBMM here!

When you have OBMM installed, you can install the mods. (Put the Mod files into your Data folder!)

Then you start OBMM and there you can see a list of all the mods you have installed.

Now you have to check the mods you want to appear in the game (if you don't want to play with some mods you just uncheck them, you don't have to delete them out of your data folder!).

After you checked all the mods you want to appear, just click Launch in the Oblivion Mod Manager and the game starts!

Before you install anything, backup your Data-folder of Oblivion, so you have a clean Data-folder, if you want to play Vanilla Oblivion

(Vanilla Oblivion=Normal Oblivion without Mods) or you want to delete all the mods completely.

I posted this once before, here you can see how to install mods if you have problems with that!
