Completely new to DOA MOds and how to install them

Ok i got the DZIP thing sorted out where i am comming a cropper is with things like

 

hair and clothes

 

How do i install them other than jsut unzipping them

 

I know they go int hte overirdes folder in User files but how for instance do i associate them with my existing character?

 

So

 

1. WHere and how do i install

 

2. How do i sue them with my main character

first, I recommend that you use DaModder instead, to install your mods. will make the majority of them easier.

http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=286 however mods that are packed in .rar .7zip will need to be unpacked, before dragging and dropping them into modder. if you dont have a program for that, I recommend either 7zip or peazip.

 

now, here comes the really fun part. you see, the game itself has NO MEANS of installing morph changes to an existing character. which means that you are either going to have to create a custom morph in the toolset, export it, and then install it as mod. Or, you can create a new game, play till you get your first chance to savegame. Then open the savegame for BOTH characters in toolset, and edit in the numbers for the morph from your new character to the morph for your main character.

And yes, this is a pain. And yes, there have been a lot of requests for a mod that would let you do this in game. However, right now, peeps havent been able to come up with anything in-game that doesnt cause issues. :(
